I attended my first cooking class last saturday ! I wasn’t going to talk about it here, but I took so many pictures that I thought it would be silly not to share them with you …
I went in this cooking class a little bit by chance because I attended in replacement of my stepfather who could not come. Unconvinced at first, I quickly changed my mind when I saw the day program, which matched me so well. Think, “Pastry and flowers!”
Classes are held at the “Atelier des Sens”, near Madeleine (some courses are in english). You have to pass through a lovely shop to access the kitchen which is large and welcoming, very professional. After washing hands putting on an apron, we are ready to start with our teacher, Melanie, who has a solid experiment in pastry.
In 4 hours, we were able to do a lot of delicious things: “Choux à la rose”, “Eclairs à la violette”, lychee-rose-raspberry macaroons, lavender “crème brûlée”, orange blossom “financiers” and raspberry-rose tiramisu. You may guess we have been very busy! I also learned many tricks that I intend to reproduce at home. Besides, I’ll probably redo soon the “éclairs à la violette”, that are absolutely divine! I So here are the photos of the workshop, hoping that you will enjoy them !
